And what if you want to avoid plastics as much as possible for sustainability reasons?
That’s how we did it. No one here wants to read that or apply it to their construction or house building project 🙁
I always believed that a plot of land needed to be at least 500-600 square meters (5400-6500 square feet) to have even a small garden.
Now that the landscaping is mostly finished, everyone who passes by talks to us and says they have been watching the construction from the very beginning because they can hardly believe that “a house fits on such a small plot.”
Our 389 square meters (4200 square feet) have proven us and many others wrong.
We are incredibly relieved and grateful that our expectations have been exceeded.

First comes the grill, then the pool, and in front of that the climbing tower. After that, a raised garden bed, and the garden will be full.
How big is the terrace? 3x4m (10x13 feet)

The area in the picture is just under 165 square meters (about 1,776 square feet). There’s still plenty of space for more, if desired.
Our terrace is actually too big for a climbing tower 😉
The terrace measures 4m x 5.5m (13x18 feet).
And the corner where the photo was taken even has a rounded 3x3m (10x10 feet) seating area 😀

Our 389sqm (4187 sq ft) taught us and many others a different lesson.I definitely want to confirm that.. Our previous lot was 290 sqm (3122 sq ft)! The size shouldn't be discouraging. Our terraced house was built on it, and we had a beautiful garden and front yard with large trees. I found it quite spacious.. Y

Looks great, just let others talk (write)...
One question about the terrace: What size are the slabs, and how did you install them (exactly what type of base)? Thanks.
