What surprises me especially is that they apparently wanted to simulate old village centers with their "disorder." With the street layout, it naturally results in houses being positioned all over the place at the end. You can clearly see in the photo that this actually happens. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it could have been easier for the builders.I actually think this looks much better than checkerboards or grids and so on. It creates a much better overall impression than everything being neat and planned.Mycraft schrieb:

To be honest, I was quite concerned about the overhang. The building specifications stated 40 cm (15.7 inches), which I thought was fine, so that settled the matter 😉I really like the exact size of your roof overhang.. to me, it’s just the right dimension! I find the roof overhang of the bungalow at the front in the aerial photo way too large.W
WilderSueden28 Jul 2022 09:22It costs €98 per square meter (approximately $105 per square yard), and plots of land are typically between 630 and 700 square meters (around 7,000 to 7,500 square feet). So, including additional costs, you end up paying just under €70,000 (about $75,000). For southern Germany, that is still quite affordable.

There was the possibility to design it with many straight lines, but I find it more open. Ours, on the other hand, is almost boring. A roundabout and straight cross streets.
