Wow, that looks really, really elegant.
Which wood tile is it? Maybe I can see it in person if the tile store has it on display.
I’m not as brave as you guys, though—I would be afraid it might make the room too dark and show dust too much, which would mean I’d have to clean more often... no thanks. That’s why we’re considering a combination with light gray wall tiles and a wood plank on the drywall installation and the windowsill.
I’ve already seen the Oak Park by Villeroy & Boch, I like them a lot, but my better half still needs some time to think it over.

Finally, the gray-brown desert is gone. One morning and 160m2 (1,722 sq ft) of rolled turf laid in both gardens (had it laid 😉)
Still missing are a small gate, my wooden terrace, the yew hedge starting in August, and a few more colorful plants.
Three minutes after finishing the work, I posted the remaining 5m2 (54 sq ft) of rolled turf on eBay Classifieds.
And 10 minutes later, it was already gone, including the 4 single-use pallets.

We now have the mission "the scaffolding has to go." It’s really expensive to keep it up.
So painting is in full swing. We also need to install the lintels, window sills, and sacrificial boards.
We started with the window sills and lintels at the top and have been painting diligently.
Preparing the window sills; a rubber strip goes on the back, sealing strips on the sides, and compriband attached to those.
Then position them

Screw them securely in place
Et voilà. Caps will still be added to the white parts, but unfortunately they were delivered in a disgusting brown instead of black...

And both of them

The house with window sills you can barely see because the scaffolding is still in front ^^

And then the lintels. These are also impregnated, glazed, and waxed. We pre-drill with a Forstner bit and then cover the drill holes with matching caps. Compriband is applied on the back.
And then install them

Ta-da!

🙂

There’s still quite a bit to finish outside, but we should be done this week. It’s really exciting—we’ve never seen the house without scaffolding before!!
