olivenbaum25 Mar 2015 15:31Hello,
I have been reading along here for some time and have already been able to implement some tips. Now I have a question and I hope you can help me. Our construction will start at the beginning of June and the planning is almost finished. The entire floor plan is set, but our bathroom is still causing me some headaches. It would be great if you could take a look. I am grateful for any help.
Oh, and the bathroom is only intended for my husband and me, the children have their own. The dimensions are 4.10 m by 4 m (13 ft 5 in by 13 ft 1 in), and it is located on the east side.

Hello,
we have a similar bathroom (square, two sides with windows, one side with the door) and have discussed our ideas here: https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/badplanung-3-51m-x-3-51m-ideensuche.11596/).
Maybe this will already help you 🙂
I can recommend the bathroom planner from Villeroy & Boch; it’s quite easy to create a few layout options with it.

olivenbaum25 Mar 2015 21:01My problem is more about the room layout.
I want to have a freestanding bathtub on a platform, but if I place a floor-to-ceiling window behind it, I don’t think it’s practical and, in my opinion, it doesn’t look very good either. However, the exterior design of the house almost requires it, as otherwise it wouldn’t visually fit, since there are only floor-to-ceiling windows on the upper floor.
What do you think about this?

I wouldn’t like that the toilet is visible from the shower. One person is showering while another is using the toilet. I don’t like that. Also, anyone going to the toilet always has to pass through the shower’s splash zone.
Is there also a floor-to-ceiling window at the toilet and the shower?
