We have that …. You mean the white borders? Yes, the white borders, which can also be in a contrasting color.
What kind of house do you have?

We initially considered that too, but by now we probably won’t do it.
… Why?

If it suits the area, then I think trim details and shutters look really nice. Although in a new housing development, they rarely fit in.So, that bricks are uncommon in Bavaria, and a Bavarian country house with a projecting gable and geranium-covered wooden balconies across the entire gable side would be rather unusual in East Frisia... okay. But if I want shutters, I couldn’t care less what the neighbors have 😉

But if I want shutters, I honestly don’t care at all what the neighbors have 😉 To be honest, I don’t really understand because it’s not just about appearance. Although it’s a bit more expensive, a brick facade is always better than a plastered facade.
+ better sound insulation
+ very low maintenance
+ good thermal insulation
- costs more than a plastered facade
The only advantage I see with a plastered facade is more design options 🙂

Pure clinker brick provides absolutely ZERO insulation!First of all, this statement is incorrect in such an absolute form. Secondly, the topic was about clinker brick facades.
Thirdly, this is the house pictures thread. The topic of shutters was already off-topic, and we really do not want to discuss insulation here.

And fourthly, you are not the “forum police” 😀- Previous
