It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

There are plenty of color accents... gray, light gray, dark gray... Just my taste :-)

Curtains are truly the best thing you can have in a living space. Without them, it feels uninviting and bare, which I don’t like. However, the gray and the interior design do shock me a bit :O

The topic of color in our house has already been discussed thoroughly here :p
It’s simply our personal taste, and it will stay that way 😉
You’re only seeing a part of the living space anyway.

I find it amazing that so few people still use curtains or drapes... I think they are exactly what make these rather minimalist rooms nowadays distinguishable from a doctor's office (-:

In our apartment, we still have traditional curtains on some windows instead of pleated blinds ‍ 🙄 No idea why those are no longer considered "stylish" ....
