Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

I actually think the tiles themselves are really cool. I probably just wouldn’t have tiled the entire guest bathroom with them. It feels overwhelming to me. Personally, I would never fully tile a guest bathroom all the way up to the ceiling, not even with white tiles.

In this case, I would have tiled the installation shaft and the wall with the sink up to mirror height, leaving the rest of the wall light. Maybe not white, but off-white or a light beige. Then add a stylish hand basin with a corten steel or iron look – that’s quite original.

To me, full ceiling-height tiling on all walls feels excessive, especially for such a small space.

The tile has a certain appeal. Unfortunately, the size does not suit the room at all. This is poor planning and truly a shame.

"Rust effect" coatings / wraps have been available for cars for quite some time, and now also for tiles. It will be interesting to see when the first factory-finished tiles come out that look "unpolished" or "unfinished." I hope the trend of "doing absolutely anything" doesn’t go that far.

I believe that when the bathroom is fully equipped, this narrow strip on the side will hardly be noticeable.

Raw finish straight from the factory – interesting: it's not a defect, it's a feature! I’ll tell my mother-in-law that soon if she finds it too messy...

Just hang a rusty chain over the joint.
