In other words: top edge of the finished floor minus the TER.

Alternatively: top edge of the finished floor minus OKRF Okay, thanks. But why aren’t the empty conduits for KNX also embedded in the raw subfloor?

You will see tilework everywhere in daily life that is pieced together, fiddled with, or With larger format tiles, there are fewer joints across the surface. The consequence that the eye tends to focus more on each individual joint usually only becomes apparent to the homeowner during the construction phase (since showroom installations are typically planned very precisely).

What exactly counts as part of the floor construction? Apparently also the concrete poured onto the precast slab, In your terminology, the significant difference between topping concrete and screed seems to be missing. A "filigree slab" (by the way a trademark) is not a slim, finished slab, as the name apparently makes many homeowners believe; and you probably think it simply gets a layer of concrete poured on site. Rather, it is a semi-finished product consisting of reinforcement and the lower concrete cover (which basically already forms the formwork as a whole), onto which the upper concrete cover must then be poured using (ready-mix) concrete.

But why not also hide the empty conduits for KNX within the rough floor? Without going into protective and empty conduits here—earlier you mentioned mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (which uses neither), and now KNX controllers; I hope you are not mixing all of these in the same category—the upper concrete cover is structurally necessary and should not be weakened.

Apparently, it also includes the concrete poured over the precast hollow-core slab, because that’s where all the pipes for the mechanical ventilation system and electrical wiring are ultimately concealed. Our precast hollow-core slab is 24 cm (9.5 inches) thick. Still, the structural engineer didn’t want all the conduit pipes embedded inside it. That’s why some are laid on top of the slab, crossing, for example, water pipes.11ant schrieb:

The ducts for the mechanical ventilation system are installed on the precast concrete slab, which is then covered with a poured concrete topping, right? Whether you call it a topping slab or cast-in-place concrete!?
