Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Yes, about once or twice a year. It’s quite a tough job. But especially with this kind of weather, they always look very dirty.

There are also affordable devices that can be attached to the hose and have multiple rotating brushes. Or alternatively, microfiber blinds cleaners.

That's pretty cool, never really thought about the fact that something like this must exist.

Most of the ground floor is now built, so the ceiling work is scheduled to start tomorrow. Unfortunately, I don’t have any up-to-date photos today.
The second picture shows the passage from the dining room to the kitchen, and in front of the kitchen window, we plan to have our cozy seating area.

Construction is steadily progressing here as well:

The upstairs bathroom is almost fully tiled:

White tiled wall with grout lines; blue pipes protruding from the wall, dark floor.

(Walking inside was still prohibited, so the photo is a bit unclear)

The first doors have also been installed:

Hallway with white interior doors, light wooden floor, and cardboard pieces on the floor.

So far, only in the basement, where we used somewhat more affordable doors, but today work continues with the doors upstairs (the only door on the ground floor is to the guest bathroom, and the floor tiles there are still missing – so that will take a bit longer).

In the third room, the built-in window seat is slowly taking shape, and we are really excited about it:

Bright room with four white base cabinets under a large window, wooden floor.

Person placing tape measure on white kitchen drawers; several drawers open, wooden interior visible.

What will go on top of the drawers? We have planned a similar setup but haven’t been able to find a "wooden board" with the required depth and about 4.5m (15 feet) length so far. Will this be a custom-made piece, like a knife-veneered chipboard, or have you found a suitable off-the-shelf product?

Also, will there be some kind of backrest (meaning one side of the window reveal extended further into the room)?
