Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

Should the 5cm (2 inches) gap between the mirror cabinet and the ledge remain? It will probably become quite a dust trap.

We have the same problem... on one side, the furring wall creates a nice shelf, but on the other, the mirror is recessed further back, so you have to leave a gap; otherwise, you won’t be able to open it again.

Dear friends of homebuilding,

Today I can finally share two photos documenting the transformation from a green meadow and horse paddock to the construction site. I have just returned from the rough staking.

Best regards

As Basti said... if I hang it higher, my wife needs a step stool... if the boxed ceiling section is lower, the 25cm (10 inch) tile layout gets ruined... it’s a flaw we can live with... we paid 125€ for the cabinet on eBay Kleinanzeigen - it can be redone differently at some point.

Today, we installed the laminate flooring in the first room, and the plumber serviced the ventilation system and mounted the base cabinet.

Hopefully, we’ll be finished by Sunday... but those fiddly corners around the doors take a lot of time to cut out.

Don’t you have expansion joints between the screed and the doors?

Oops, yes they do... you can see it under the blue sheet in one of the pictures.
Surely @Ghostwriter has an explanation for us or is currently pulling up his laminate floor [emoji20]
