Hello everyone!
We want to install a new floor in our bedroom and are wondering if we could lay laminate flooring ourselves. So far, we have only installed carpet on our own and have no experience with laminate or hardwood flooring. Is it possible to do it yourself, or should it be done by a professional?

Hi,
buy the click-lock laminate flooring, anyone can install it themselves. The individual planks are not glued together but simply clicked into each other. This is much faster, and if you move out, you can easily take it with you. You only need a saw and a bit of skill for this.

Hi,
you can also check with your local hardware store, as many offer workshops for people who want to do DIY projects but don’t know how to start. You can ask the experts there about all the tips and tricks and try things out practically. This makes it much easier when working in your own home.

Hi,
if you buy the material from a specialized store, they can usually explain how to install it. Often, you also receive a DVD that shows the installation process. At least that was the case for me when I purchased a sauna—it came with detailed instructions on how to assemble it. But you can manage laminate flooring even without a manual if necessary.

We installed the laminate flooring ourselves, and there are quite a few videos about it on YouTube. The manufacturers also provide many instructions. The click laminate is easy to install, and we took about 30 minutes per square meter (10.7 square feet). We were almost as good as the professionals.

That is correct, and the laminate manufacturers also provided us with a video. Of course, there were also written instructions with various diagrams. My husband found his way around very quickly, and everything worked out excellently.
