We mainly wanted this because it provides easy access if something needs fixing, because you don’t have to redo anything inside the room afterward, since there is no internal access, meaning no animals can get in. Also, we like how it looks. Our roller shutter boxes are also accessible from the outside, but they are not mounted on top. It’s about a 6–8 cm (2.4–3.1 inch) wide strip that can be unscrewed. I have no idea how well this works for major issues, but no one needs to get inside from the room side.

The picture likely refers to exterior roller shutter boxes Exactly!
We are building a wooden house and our builder never recommended the exterior type. I don’t really like how they look either (although on Müllerin’s house they actually look quite acceptable).

(where it really looks okay with the miller’s house). That's exactly the point: where this option is usually rejected for aesthetic reasons, it actually has a chance if an external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS) or a facing brickwork layer absorbs part of its building depth.

We are really excited about the Iceline series from Puris. Also bathroom furniture from the furniture store. Climbee, have you seen the Iceline series from Puris in person yet? I really like it too. I think it looks really cool combined with the glass washbasin. I’m just not entirely sure how durable a glass washbasin is. Has anyone here had any experience with it?
We are almost at the finish line. The plumbing is mostly done, with just a few remaining tasks, and the electrician has started wiring the outlets. The wiring in the distribution board will take a bit longer since we have a smart home system.
Yesterday, the doors were installed. We chose plain white. The horizontal stripes don’t really show up well in the pictures. The door panels were also replaced. Visually, we really like how it looks in person. It’s just a pity that the front door will need to be replaced because the wrong handle was removed.
The stairs will be installed tomorrow. Then we can finally sell our construction stairs.
In the meantime, we have also started painting. Somehow, the boxes still need to be packed in between, and the kids still want to play with mom and dad... there just aren’t enough hours in the day.
