Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

It continues.

The garage has been plastered, next up is the roof (finally), and then the walls will be painted.

The landscaping contractor is back on his feet. He tidied up first and will start masonry work next week.

Half of our living room is now finished. Upstairs, everything is complete except for the baseboards and doors. However, we will install the baseboards next year.

Is there a reason for installing the baseboards only next year?

In the first year, the house still loses a lot of moisture. This moisture escapes mainly at the wall/floor corners. Therefore, it is recommended to install baseboards and hang pictures later to avoid the risk of mold.

Our weekend was all about the garden shed. Meanwhile, the electrician continued wiring the control cabinet inside. There are quite a few cables to handle.

We also received our first staircase on Friday.

Wow, Eldea, you’re really moving fast... so building a house can work like this after all. Congratulations!

I’m glad we’re building with wood... although I often really like it without baseboards (if the edges are done neatly), if it could be seamless.
