The vibrating plate compactor was also used today.
The old retaining wall is still in good condition. Only the rows damaged by the demolition need to be rebuilt.
The joints were worse than expected, which made the renovation much cheaper. I was able to chisel them out myself and am almost finished repointing.
In 10 days, the excavator will arrive, and work will continue with hauling away the excavation and building the walls up.
