Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

Is there going to be underfloor heating on top?

Are you asking me?
Yes, there will be underfloor heating installed.
According to the site manager, it’s not a problem.
The photo shows the basement, where the conduit pipes are at most 25mm (1 inch) in diameter.
On the ground floor, it's a bit more complicated because more pipes were installed, and the electrician also laid a conduit with a diameter of 40mm (1.5 inches). The first layer of insulation board will probably need to be increased to 40mm (1.5 inches). Fortunately, the height allows for this.

Eldea, do you know the name of that washbasin? I mean just the countertop, not the vanity cabinet. And how wide is it? We're really hooked on the Iceline series from Puris. We also looked at bathroom furniture from furniture stores. At places like Kleiner, R&F, and so on, we didn’t find anything that truly appealed to us. So our general contractor (who handles the plumbing himself) will just have to deal with it. But he’s relatively cooperative.

Wow HöKi, that’s quite a mix of different tiles. It would feel too inconsistent and busy for me, but of course that’s a matter of personal taste.
For the bathtub, I would probably have made the baseboard extend toward the wall as well; I find it more comfortable not to be flush directly against the wall.
But progress is being made, and you can see the end in sight, right?

Tastes vary so much, but I really like the different tiles, especially the bathtub.

@Eldea, we also have some Pelipal products and find them excellent.

That's how it is. I generally don’t find tiles in the bathroom attractive. Therefore, my motto is less is more. However, some areas do need to be tiled, otherwise cleaning becomes difficult.

and we are still very happy with our choice of tiles.
Well, except for the decorative trim. To me, that belongs (only) on cars with tail fins.

hehe... I like the floor tiles, but I find the black shower awful. But it’s not my house, after all. Our bathroom will be blue and white, and the guest toilet green... I’m sure many will find that awful too :-P
