ᐅ Corner window with roller shutter box possible? - Who has experience?

Hello,
for our new build, we would like to install corner windows.
Now, a builder wanted to place a 36cm (14 inch) thick concrete support column in the corner, on which the roller shutter box would rest. We really wouldn’t like that. Does anyone have corner windows with a roller shutter box without a large support in the corner? Maybe some pictures as well?

That happens with corner windows, which then slide along tracks.

But you're aware that some kind of support or post in the corner is necessary, right?
At least one steel support has to be installed, which the window manufacturer will then cover with a panel. I assume that’s what you’re aiming for?

Try searching for "corner windows with roller shutters" on Google Images to find plenty of examples of corner windows.

A concrete post the thickness of the wall would be a very poor choice regarding insulation, as there simply wouldn’t be any. It would create a significant thermal bridge.

I believe most fans of corner windows don’t give a second thought to the structural implications of their desire.

No additional support beam is needed. However, a guide rail for the roller shutters must, of course, be installed.
The first construction photo shows our shell with a corner window without support/post, the other image is an example of how it will approximately look.

We also have quite a few corner windows. In our specifications, our architect included an 8cm (3 inch) steel support so that we can achieve a corner-to-corner glazing.

This is definitely the more refined solution.
