Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Oh, she must be really excited already. There’s so much to explore.

Is that a hot tub?

Yes, it’s a 4-person jacuzzi. We often have guests or in-laws who come to relax and enjoy some wellness time. But we already had it before we started building the house...

Now I want to share some pictures of our house. The scaffolding has been removed, and the front of the house is now visible.

@Metalwerner Great, absolutely top quality. Price-wise, I can imagine where this is going.
And yes, if I didn’t have kids, I would probably build like this too.
But why not have the pool outside, or is there more planned for that?

@munger71

Nice at the back, not so much at the front—just kidding. But for the windows facing the street, you should have paid a bit more attention to the appearance.
That small roof overhang looks great. We have about 80cm (31 inches), which has advantages when it rains because nothing gets wet around the house, but it doesn’t look quite as modern.

I have another view from the front...
We have a 50cm (20 inch) roof overhang. But I agree with you: the more, the better. And I still think it looks modern.

Okay, without the fence and tree, it looks better.

I’m curious to see how our appearance will turn out; we’re getting a 3cm (1 inch) roof overhang... so, basically nothing [emoji16]
