Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Update:
We had a major issue with the kitchen supplier... I lost two days of vacation because of them, but I fought through it (long story)...

Modern kitchen with large island, wooden fronts, built-in oven, black countertop.

Kitchen with wooden fronts, black countertop, island, and base cabinets.

Kitchen island with dark countertop and wooden fronts; construction progress, boxes in the background.

Kitchen under construction with dark cabinets, island, open doors, empty fridge, and hanging cables.

Ah, I understand, thank you.
So, the PDF from Pedotherm clearly states that engineering is part of their service scope. This means it’s not an off-the-shelf system, but rather individually and precisely configured for each construction project. Including heating load calculation. I’m relying a bit on the company to do their job because I can’t really do it differently. As a layperson, I wouldn’t dare to interfere in such a topic. We chose a general contractor from our area who has a very good reputation, also within our circle of acquaintances. They are not the cheapest, but I expect that they will also commission a company for the underfloor heating that knows their craft.

You should just measure the distance in the bathroom! When we renovated the open-plan room, we had to remove everything because the spacing was too wide at 20cm (8 inches) and there was nothing in the wall recesses. In the bathroom, we have less than 10cm (4 inches), plus a wall heating panel, and we don’t need towel rails or anything else—it gets wonderfully warm even with low supply temperatures. Do you want to freeze in your bathroom your whole life? Walking on these heating pipes is no problem; you just have to be a bit careful. So come on: get a ladder and measure it yourself...

Here I’m showing you our snakes. These are the only snakes I like.
We’ve had them since this week.
More photos on the blog.

Isn’t the installation spacing extremely large and uneven?
What kind of supply line is planned?

A supply temperature of 35°C (95°F) is planned.
I didn’t think it looked uneven on site. The photo was taken with a phone camera through a window, from one side of an entire 11m (36 feet) long room, so I don’t think it’s fully representative.
I can’t say if the spacing is too wide because I’m not the heating installer. But I have thermostats on the wall where I can set the temperature, and I know what the builder promised me. Honestly, I can’t imagine that for nearly 400 houses per year—almost all built with underfloor heating—they would work with a subcontractor who delivers poor work, without any homeowners complaining.

That is basically correct.
However, it is very often done according to the motto "we have always done it this way."
I asked very critically about this in our area.

That is of course true. We quickly end up back on the meta-level on which our entire choice of builder is based. Due to our lack of technical knowledge, we selected the builder almost entirely based on reputation. They are not the cheapest, but so far everything has gone quite smoothly, and any minor issues were resolved immediately. I cannot imagine that they would choose a subcontractor for the underfloor heating who could damage their reputation, especially considering the number of houses they build. They probably always work with the same ones.
According to their quote, the underfloor heating was also installed not according to a fixed pattern but based on a personalized heat load calculation. I don’t feel qualified to judge, as countless factors come into play, right?
We will see. The screed will be laid over it by the end of the week anyway, so no use dwelling on it now.
