Off-topic for a moment: The advertisements are extremely annoying. While they are probably necessary, I sometimes can’t even read the threads anymore because the banner just won’t go away and I can’t close it. Especially irritating: the company with the bright magenta color The color is actually brilliant.....(:mad . (Well, I wouldn’t paint a room like that myself... ).
Tip: Use the browser reload button.
At least with Safari on my sour-apple computer, the banner disappears on the second try.
Thanks for the information! It works for me as well—I just never would have thought of that.

Topcoat plaster in the year after next. I have a quick question: why is that done? Applying the topcoat plaster only after 2 years? Is there a specific technical reason for this?

I have a quick question: why is the finish coat applied only after 2 years? Is there a specific technical reason for this? Yes, according to consistent statements from my architect, the general contractor, and the plasterer, cracking due to drying and settling can occur in the plaster during the first two years. These cracks in the base coat don’t bother me visually and can be easily repaired before applying the finish coat. If the finish coat is already applied and cracks appear, repairing them is more complicated because the visual appearance is more critical.
At our general contractor, all houses are treated this way (which doesn’t always mean it’s the correct approach). However, this reasoning convinced me.
For the finish coat including scaffolding, I also received a fixed-price guarantee for at least 2 years at contract signing.

This will be the most interesting aspect of the whole matter, as it involves a contract and the final acceptance will hardly be complete at the time of moving in (implied conduct). In case of a legal dispute, it will certainly become "interesting".
