Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Compared to the previous version, only minor changes have been made:

- On the north elevation, the two floor-to-ceiling windows (with railings) were replaced by two standard windows with a parapet, since a fall protection system would be required anyway.

- The wall between the right children’s room and the roof terrace has been moved 35cm (14 inches) to the left according to the plan. This makes both children’s rooms slightly larger, and creates a small storage closet (1.1 x 1 m (3.6 x 3.3 ft)) on the right side of the hallway. We are quite happy about this, as it will be useful for storing the vacuum cleaner and other items for the upper floors.

@matte1987 If I understand correctly, you’re building a 36.5cm (14.4 inch) masonry wall without insulation.
Have the three cast concrete lintels on the outside not been insulated?

Which concrete lintels do you mean?

The ones above the roller shutter boxes? An insulation panel was already installed there, I have also checked that.

Otherwise, I’m not sure what you could be referring to...
