Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Today, just relaxed work for 1.5 hours: swept the floor 4 times and laid out the impact sound insulation. Then, out of curiosity, I connected a few rows to see how it looks across the surface 😎 The protective film on the impact sound insulation is still on, so the whole package can be moved (for installing the planks by the window wall).

Renovated room: Wooden floor being installed; hammer, measuring tape, and wedges on the subfloor.

Here are two more pictures from the room above the children’s room. The space behind the door is located above the bedroom.

May I ask again about the dimensions of your attic? What is the width and what is the height from the floor up to the ridge cladding? We are doing something quite similar but currently have little sense of the space 🙂.

Since yesterday, we have finally moved into the house. The facade and exterior landscaping are still missing, and the heat pump is not yet operational (currently, hot water is provided by an electric heating element). Also, there are still boxes everywhere, and tools are scattered around—but we’re in.

There are a few photos, which we will share once the interior is presentable 😀 In the meantime, here is a photo from today’s work: the photovoltaic system was installed on the roof. With dark tiles and lots of sun, it was literally a hot job. Also, here is a picture of our (freshly oiled) bamboo bathroom shelves, which I plan to install the day after tomorrow. We still need to oil them twice tomorrow, then they should be ready.

@Strahleman
Congratulations on moving in!

In 17 days on my moving day, it probably won’t be much different. There is still so much to do and the days are just too short.

Today, 160m² (1,722 sq ft) of paving stones, a cubic meter of gravel, L-shaped stones, and edging stones were delivered. Everything is stacked up, the landscapers are doing their best, but it’s just chaos inside and outside.

Attached is a picture of our partially completed smart home wiring. Just working on this takes me several hours per residential unit (and there are four of them). Two of the three Controllino Max units are already installed here; the SmartManager and some dimmer relays are still missing. The green relays control the external blinds (two per RF). But all push buttons are connected to the harness wiring (in my residential unit, which is the smallest with a total of only 128 strands). The blue terminal blocks are for the +24V potential distribution, with the same setup still needed for [-].

If you’ve read carefully, you will have noticed that I deviated from my custom-made U-profiles and the slightly smaller NTPLus LSA terminals. Sometimes you only recognize the better solution during installation. It’s a new area for me 😎.

You would still need to make a suitable glasses holder...

I actually already did that (3D-printed and attached with a magnet to the pinboard wall in the office). I got tired of always looking for one of my three different pairs of glasses 🤨
