For me, it probably won’t be much different in 17 days on moving day. There’s still so much to do, and the days are just too short.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the last days go smoothly! It’s amazing how many small and bigger issues come up right at the end. During my 3 weeks off, we worked almost every day on the construction site except for 2 days. But that makes you even prouder when it’s finished, and especially of everything you’ve learned 😀

Today we installed the modules on the roof. With 6.8 kWp, the roof is now fully covered. Because of the intense heat, we had to take a forced break in the afternoon and could only continue working after 6:30 pm. But now all the modules are in place.

The landscaping contractors have already completed some of the rough work. Starting Friday, they will install 40m (130 feet) of edging stones and 3.5m (11.5 feet) of L-shaped retaining stones, and gravel will be laid on the path and parking areas. We will handle the rest ourselves (paving). Since Monday, my brother has had family working on excavating; progress is going well... However, there’s no more half-day downtime—since Monday we’ve been on site from at least 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Office work before and after, and making a few calls is almost impossible...
