I wouldn’t have the heart to do it. Last year we had European robins here. They behaved exactly as you would want neighbors to: unobtrusive, barely audible, and left almost no mess. When the chicks hatched, half of them flew away immediately, while the other half hopped around on our balcony for a few more days. It was really a wonderful three weeks, and we were happy to share our balcony.

We also had a bird’s nest in the attic. After the drywall installers insulated the space and installed the vapor barrier, the birds were gone. When I asked about it, I was told, "They flew away." I decided not to press further. 🙁

Here is a corner of the house, nicely sealed with jointing compound. Even though it doesn’t look like it in the photo, the corner is a 90° angle.

At least there’s lawn already 😉. If I manage that this year, I’ll be really satisfied.

But the lighting setup in the bathroom is just an extreme example of what’s possible – right?
Does it look creepy only to me and good to others? (just not for me due to severe red/green color blindness)
