@bortel That’s true, we chose internal drawers for the sake of aesthetics. Having all those drawers and the resulting high-contrast seams on the front would have made it look too busy.
@evelinoz I hadn’t even noticed the side panels. Worth thinking about. And we are so firmly against P2O that we didn’t want it even there. No, you misunderstood me. We have a closed front with drawers behind it, but as pull-outs rather than hinged doors.
@opalau: That’s probably true, a black countertop wouldn’t have been my choice either. After taking another look, I think I would have gone with a different flooring. BUT in the end, it’s really a matter of personal taste, and otherwise I really like the kitchen, especially the cooking niche!

I read a book about kitchen planning, really interesting, the author designed our kitchen (only a small change was made).
His theory seemed completely understandable *to me*.
Well, have fun cooking .Are there any pictures or floor plans of this perfectly planned kitchen? I’d be interested to see what has been improved!Aphrodithe schrieb:

We also have pull-outs almost everywhere – sometimes inside and sometimes with a front panel. Only on the back side of the island do the shallower cabinets have hinged doors.

Fummelbrett!11 Mar 2020 09:16I really like the kitchen. It’s very well designed, and the look is just right for me. However, it wouldn’t work for me personally when I think about my cooking routine. For ME, the oven and cooktop would need to be close to each other. The countertop height, on the other hand, can be lower. Just as the requirements differ, so do kitchens. It’s great that there are so many options now, allowing everyone to have a kitchen built that fits their specific needs.
Many people would probably struggle with the kitchen I’m planning. But it doesn’t matter—whoever cooks gets to decide.
