Hello everyone,
First of all, great forum here!
I am currently planning a U-shaped kitchen. Unfortunately, I seem to have the problem that the drawer slides on one side interfere with each other. At least, that’s my impression, even though the 3D planner doesn’t show any issues.
Please take a look at the attached images.
The problem is at the corner base cabinet next to the sink cabinet. Due to the limited space, I cannot fit a back panel or similar there. I suspect that the drawers of the sink cabinet won’t clear the handles of the adjacent cabinet.
If my impression is wrong, even better!
Problem area in 3D view:

BUT, if I would run into issues there, I am considering shortening the corner cabinet (or the back panel there) slightly on the left side so that the dishwasher cabinet and sink cabinet can shift a little to the left.
Is this possible, and would it help with my problem?
Possible solution:

Thanks in advance!

IKEA-Experte6 Jun 2016 18:37I have never fastened my base cabinets to the wall, but no one in my house would think of opening several drawers at the same time. If you don’t use a rail, adjusting the rear legs could become quite tricky. This is the main reason why the base cabinets can also be attached to the rail.
Is the window high enough? Are the electrical connections for the cooktop and oven available in the tall cabinet?

The window is positioned so high that the countertop can be placed directly beneath it, serving as a windowsill.
The electrical connection for the cooktop/oven is located behind the tall cabinet for the oven. I will need to branch off the connection for the cooktop there.
The water connection is at the height of the sink, and the drain is in the top right corner.

Wurzelbuerste6 Jun 2016 21:33By Wednesday, I need to come up with a solution so that I can take advantage of the 0% financing and possibly the free Skinsande.
Does anyone happen to know if I can order the personal countertop and backsplash now (so they count toward the financing) but measure and finalize them only after the kitchen installation? Since I’m not 100% sure if the kitchen will be exactly as planned in the design software, there might be variations with the countertop. Likewise, I can’t specify the exact height of the wall cabinets down to the centimeter (inch).

You should find that out on site when you place your order. Has a kitchen measurement already been taken? Are you reaching 2,000 or 4,000 euros? Feel free to share more photos from different angles. 🙂
As I mentioned before, with 2-3cm (about 1 inch) filler strips on the left and right sides, you should manage—but only if everything is perfectly straight and square.

So far, there has been no measurement taken by the Ikea staff, but the current plan should be sufficient for the order.
It should be exactly 90 degrees; I will check that again. If it is not, I may have to position the cabinets slightly away from the wall to achieve the 90° angle.
I will upload pictures later.
