Hello community,
we are currently planning our kitchen and find the lift system from Ninka called Qanto very interesting.

Does anyone have this system installed and can provide feedback on whether this investment is worthwhile?

It would also be interesting to know if there are other systems available or DIY setups, possibly using TV lifts?

I only know the system from advertising. Personally, I am not a fan.
Why?
  • very expensive
  • doesn't hold much
  • no countertop space left in the corner (where, for example, a coffee machine or something else could be placed)
  • potential technical faults

I would rather go for a practical corner cabinet solution; there are plenty of options available.

Very expensive? Do you have a price for it?
There will definitely be someone who built a DIY solution. In that case, the costs are definitely under €300.

It’s not really accurate to say that not much fits on it.
You can easily place your coffee machine or Thermomix underneath it.
The question is more about whether someone prefers a clean countertop instead of having everything cluttered.

Personally, I don’t want to look at the rarely used toaster or similar appliances every day in the new kitchen, so this option would be suitable for us.

Starting at around €1,400 (depending on the version – number of shelf brackets or lighting).

I prefer a proper worktop in the corner or a sensible cabinet solution. With a footprint of 470x470mm (18.5x18.5 inches), it’s only suitable for smaller items (so, one pot and some small stuff around it). That’s what I mean.

In my opinion, the Qanto is not really suitable for that. You press a button, wait until the toaster eventually rises up, toast, and then everything goes back down again.
I’d rather just open and close the cabinet quickly...
And if kids spill a glass of water or whatever in the kitchen (which apparently happens ), and all that ends up dripping into the device and the compartments, you’ll probably be annoyed.

For me, it’s nothing more than a stylish and expensive gimmick without much added value.

Ok, I understand your perspective. That’s fine, everyone has their own view on this...

Now let’s hear from others who may have installed such a system or something similar, since my question was:

I’m always up for technical gadgets no matter the cost, BUT I would find that shown in the video quite impractical... I don’t want to wait "2 minutes" just to get a pot.. that would annoy me a lot..
