This has nothing to do with a lack of knowledge. It’s more about the fact that the structural calculations were not completed at the same time the planning approval was granted.

If you’re flexible, you can manage it this way. Basically, if we had a general contractor, we would have known earlier that the support beam needed to be longer than it is now. That’s it.

Additionally, we updated the chimney, so one support beam was removed because we now have a three-sided chimney.

The explanation doesn’t make sense (?)
Without structural engineering, there can be no execution, and in the structural design, the support could have been sized accordingly narrow.

I never said after construction, but after planning approval.
