Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

I see that the joints between your precast concrete ceiling elements have already been finished. Is that part of the contract for the ground floor / upper floor shell construction? I’ve received the invoice for this phase, and I’m surprised to see open joints... I wanted to raise a complaint but then thought maybe it’s included in the interim payment for interior plastering. But now, seeing your work, I’m wondering about it again...

You are also using Poroton bricks. With our Poroton bricks, after completing the ground floor / upper floor, there are various holes in the bricks; some have already been plastered over, but many remain open. Here too, I’m wondering if this is something handled at the plastering interim payment stage or if it must be completed before releasing the payment for the ground floor / upper floor shell construction.

Here are a few pictures showing how it looks this evening...

Looking at the picture of the partition walls, I wonder how they are connected to the exterior wall? The metal brackets seem to be missing. Or is the wooden batten supposed to hold it?

For us, the interior plastering work was done later as well.

I am also wondering whether that should be done before the plastering partial payment or if it needs to be completed before releasing the shell construction payment.

I assume they will install the sheets there the same way as on the other walls.

So, quite a bit is happening here at the moment. The bathrooms are currently being tiled, and yesterday and today the floor drain for the guest bathroom and the shower and bathtub for the main bathroom were installed.

We also discussed the exterior plaster today, and measurements were taken for the staircase. Oh, and fiber optic internet has now been connected. Finally, no more 6 Mbit speeds in the future [emoji322][emoji323].

Now our own work begins. We are gradually starting with the walls, ceilings, and floors. Who would have thought there is quite a lot of work involved here [emoji16]. Fortunately, we can take our time mostly in the basement.

Let's see if moving in will work out in July. That would be great for the girls. They’ve been attending the daycare there for over a month now, and many children from the new development area are also there. The street is really lively in the afternoons. It’s full of kids [emoji173].

Unfinished bathroom under construction: white tiles, bathtub filled with water on the right, shower on the left, window.

Unfinished interior with open glass doors leading to the garden; two chairs inside.

Gray-tone color swatches; central card 34335/34336 is marked.

Wall-mounted electrical distribution box with warning sign and green-red cables.
