Deliverer27 Mar 2018 11:21@Admin - that is interesting, but not correct here. Can this be outsourced?

SilentGalaxy27 Mar 2018 12:51The house was assembled on 13.06.2017. We moved in on 01.09.2017. Painting, plastering, and flooring—except for the bathrooms—were done by ourselves. However, we were under considerable time pressure. My daughter was born on 26.06., so everything needed to be finished by 01.09. Everything worked out as planned.
Yes, please outsource that.
For us, it was almost exactly 9 months from breaking ground to moving in. With various DIY tasks (okay, some like insulating the attic only after moving in) and self-managing the contracts, I think that’s a really reasonable timeline.
Edit: And it could have been a little faster, even, if we hadn’t decided ourselves to postpone the move until the very end because of water damage and noise :-(

For us (solid construction house, with a basement), it took 8 months from the first groundbreaking to moving in, which I already found borderline slow. ? ? ?

We have a staircase. Perfect. With the grain direction parallel to the front edge and a perfect shadow gap. This can be measured very precisely.

We have 2 exactly equally sized children's rooms, but they feel completely different in size. Some people misjudged this. Square meters describe rooms for accountants; for the residents, the usability with furniture is more important.
