Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

Unfortunately, such visionaries are often ahead of their time and are dismissed as eccentrics by the general public.

After 6 months, the wall near the oven is still clean.
With the dishwasher, we had to come up with a solution because the wall looked bad after 4 weeks.

Could you please explain this? Our dishwasher is also going to be installed close to the wall at about half height.

When loading, leftover water sometimes drips down and splashes into the surrounding area. In my case, the dishwasher is located in a corner, and the adjacent cabinet front sometimes looks quite dirty because of this.

Milk bottles, coffee cups, soup plates, etc., that were not completely emptied, have left splashes behind.
We have mounted a large-format, washable wall picture of a holiday photo.

The doors are installed, and the staircase cupboard has interior fittings.

Open white interior door; view into a blue room with dark laminate flooring.

Where exactly is the operation more difficult?

Try placing a roasting pan on a pull-out shelf when there’s a wall next to the oven. It’s possible, but far from convenient. Access is simply more restricted.

I can also confirm splashes from the dishwasher. It’s best to apply something like a tough, washable paint or latex paint next to it, so you can easily wipe it off.

Regarding grease fumes from the oven, I wouldn’t worry about it, simply because we don’t have any burning fat inside our oven. Where would that come from?
