Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Climbee, can you send pictures of the construction?
I’m really looking forward to seeing them.

Let’s see if I can be there tomorrow. I have the day off, but in the morning the vet is coming to vaccinate my five indoor cats. After that, I will definitely go check it out.

In between, I do have an appointment and need to do some shopping as well, but I hope I can still document the progress from time to time.

They are ordered but not yet installed.
We did a direct comparison in the store.
Our other furniture and baseboards are pure white, so I think we (or I) would have noticed the difference. But we are quite picky.

The difference is clearly visible, and if the furniture and baseboards match – what more could you want?!

Ah, these doors… a real dream, @Josephine2489. Unfortunately, my husband doesn’t like that kind of thing at all.

Thank you! I’m lucky that although my husband cares about the interior, he let me make all the decisions. And now, more than once, he says: “It’s a good thing you picked everything. It really looks nice/cozy/…”

That makes a woman’s heart beat faster… hehe…

Vapors rise upwards rather than sideways

Ovens often have a bottom-hinged door. When opened, steam clouds often escape simultaneously to the left, top, and right, never just upward (?)

Wow, what a hassle. Funny, where else would you put everything in a U-shaped kitchen: the dishwasher and oven at mid-height, plus the refrigerator and a tall cabinet. And I don’t want to sacrifice the countertop space either. So, there’s no other way.
