Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

There must be another way. This isn’t just about structural engineering but also about the U-value of the exterior walls.

Of course, there’s always another way. But since I’m building according to KFW standards and the construction site is regularly inspected by the KFW energy efficiency expert and the structural engineer (which is mandatory here in Hesse), and there have been no objections in this regard, I assume that neither the structural integrity nor the U-value are significantly compromised.

Something different @AxelH.: But you don’t want to install roller shutters/blinds and/or light switches somewhere around there, right?

Hello ruppsn,

I don’t fully understand the question or its background, but of course we will have venetian blinds and roller shutters in our house depending on the floor and window size.

Best regards

Hi @AxelH., sorry, that was my mistake. I missed a hyphen there. I meant the roller shutter switch next to the window, so basically between the left window and the slot. There might possibly be too little material left in that area...

Hello ruppsn,

thank you very much for the clarification!
We would like to have our roller shutter switches combined with the light switches, so near the door. Therefore, there is no space issue at the window.

Best regards

Axel
