ᐅ Offer for Windows and Exterior Blinds / Shutters

Hello everyone,

we have received a quote for windows and external venetian blinds.
I find the offer for the windows quite reasonable. However, the price for the external blinds made me hesitate a bit.
We are planning 5 external venetian blinds.
The description in the quote is:

PVC add-on element, thermally insulated
Elite with venetian blind fabric
Operation: crank handle
Dimensions:

1. 2510 x 2620 mm (99 x 103 inches) -> 1889 euros
2. 4620 x 2620 mm (182 x 103 inches) -> 4282 euros
3. 4620 x 2620 mm (182 x 103 inches) -> 4282 euros
4. 3010 x 2600 mm (118 x 102 inches) -> 2113 euros
5. 2510 x 2620 mm (99 x 103 inches) -> 1898 euros

All prices are excluding VAT.
It seems to me quite, quite, quite high — or am I just mistaken?

Huge venetian blinds. I don’t find the price too high for that. But why use a hand crank for something like this? You’ll regret it a lot; it has to be electric!

The crank was only included in the offer. Of course, I also want an electric one.
When I compare prices online, I don’t get anywhere near 4200 + 19%, but rather around 1000 euros for these dimensions...

Then just have the venetian blinds installed online. They are sourced from a specialist supplier and installed by a certified professional. So what do you want to do with any online prices?

If you can install it yourself, then the online price works.

They are simply really huge. When you quickly calculate the prices per square meter, you end up with 320-420€ including VAT. That’s not super cheap, but also not excessively expensive. Especially since with these dimensions, additional costs for reinforcements or other measures are likely included.

For comparison, our external venetian blinds measure 1.20 by 1.30 meters (4 feet by 4 feet 3 inches) and cost 650 net each.

What do you pay for these huge windows? They must be quite expensive as well?

Is this an office building based on the dimensions, or a residential house?
