Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

And here are a few more pictures...

Interior of a shell construction made of concrete blocks, brown support post in the center, open passageway to the sky.

Construction site: interior of a new build with white concrete blocks, door opening, and debris.

Does the downpipe really have to run right next to the main entrance doors? Sorry, but I think this should be planned better. To me, it doesn’t look good at all.

I don’t find it that bad. A nice trellis with a non-damaging climbing plant in front creates visually separate entrance areas for the two living spaces. On the contrary, I can actually imagine it looking very attractive once it’s grown in.

I don’t find the downpipe out of place either – without it, it would look stranger to me. This way, there is at least a visual separation between the two front doors.

Yes, I’m not a fan of the downpipes either. They have to go somewhere, and at the edge, they are even more obstructive. Plants will grow around them, and that will be fine.

Reinforcing steel mesh over a concrete slab at a construction site, wooden scaffolding visible.

Unfinished two-story house in the shell stage with scaffolding and building materials on site.

Tomorrow the ceiling will be poured. The day after tomorrow, the rear parapet will be prepared for concreting.
The upcoming weekend, the gable roof should be erected in the middle.
