Are the floor-to-ceiling doors custom-made by a carpenter or from one of the standard manufacturers? In which region of Germany is your house located?

It will probably look different once it’s fully furnished and lived in. To me, the house already looks furnished and lived in…
It’s interesting how perceptions vary so much depending on personal taste.
Our home looks similarly minimalist, with light gray flooring, a black tall cabinet wall, and a walnut kitchen island. The furniture in the living/dining area is also walnut. The windows reach ceiling height, with dark wood on the inside and black on the outside. The handles are black as well.
Some people find it too clean and impersonal, but we feel comfortable that way. I don’t like having a lot of decorations around or too many colors, as that feels too busy for me. However, I can definitely appreciate that style in other settings—for example, there is a particular hotel I like that decorates lavishly for Christmas and Easter. I always look forward to that, but I wouldn’t want to live with that style; it would feel overwhelming too quickly.

derdietmar26 Feb 2024 08:26Hello,
I was not familiar with it until now, but the cantilevered roof indeed shows some similarities.
The roof itself is a solid construction; the concrete slab is connected using thermal break baskets and heavy-duty dowels. Attached is an impression of the reinforcement around the glass corner.

The interior doors are custom-made by a carpenter; I am not aware of any industrial manufacturer offering solid wood doors in this size and design.
And of course, the house has been occupied since the end of last year. As mentioned, we prefer a tidy environment, and the furnishings help us stay disciplined—things are stored away in cabinets and storage rooms when needed. Here are a few more proof photos.

Best regards
