Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

After living in the house for a little over a year, we are now starting with the first improvements that we initially chose to skip. So, out with all the reserves that are no longer needed.
A common mistake is being too afraid to invest in the house during construction and ending up saving yourself into problems. The result is costly retrofitting and missing out on many things you could have afforded and wanted.

This caution is more a matter of common sense for me than a typical mistake. If you immediately push to the limit and get a bit unlucky, you can quickly end up needing costly additional financing. Then there's a lot of complaining here as well.

No no, better to do it this way.

Yes, really stupid of us. We actually made the mistake of investing conservatively and building a house meant for living in, not for showing off. And now we're facing an extra cost of 350 euros because we no longer have the scaffolding on the house. Plus all the drilling into the walls because of the wiring... Oh wait, we had conduit pipes installed after all.

The roofers have finally arrived, bringing our box gutters with them. *excited*

Nice, I was so relieved when the roof was on and covered... that felt really good, from that point on nothing inside could get wet anymore, etc...

Ah, finally some more pictures of the semi-detached house. It’s been a bit slow with you guys. Or are we just getting only half the story here?
