Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Now it’s time to show our plot of land. The photo was taken from the back of the property looking toward the street, and beyond the photographer there is just a field. It’s 1,639 sqm (17,642 sq ft), relatively flat, but unfortunately we need a pile foundation (which we knew before buying).

When we took the pictures, our new neighbor already came over to say hello. He is actually quite easy to talk to. He hadn’t moved in the last time we visited.

Yes. A little obsession with cars from the homeowner (me).

Nice, flat land. Some of the other houses, in my opinion, are built too close together, way too dense. Where’s the added value compared to a detached house or a condominium? For example, that coffee grinder down there—that just doesn’t work on that small piece of land. Well, maybe I’m too old for this world. K.

Coffee grinder? Do you mean the house with two full stories and a chimney?
Yes, the plot is actually quite flat (a slope of just under 2m (6.6 feet) over 35m (115 feet), and where the house is meant to stand, there is almost no slope)... you can hardly find a flatter site in this area since it is generally quite hilly (which you can’t really see in the photo). On top of that, it has an unbeatable price of €34 per square meter (about $34 per 10.8 square feet) and only the usual requirements in the development plan, like floor area ratio and site coverage ratio, etc.—but all very reasonable, so there are basically no restrictions that would bother you.

I find the neighbor very attractive.

Which one?
Including an aerial work platform?

May I ask where you are building?
