By the way, on the ground floor we only have three doors: one in front of the study, one to the pantry, and one to the bathroom. Everything else is open or partially open, because the interior walls toward the hallway, dining room, and kitchen are set back.Do you have a mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery? That’s what we initially planned as well, but we were advised against it because such systems can cause a noticeable draft. Now we have decided to install a door between the entrance area and the living space, even though we originally didn’t want one.

Splash water must be removed anyway, and the slope directs the water away.
I don’t see any advantages to having the shower drain at the front.
It’s a matter of personal taste visually.
For me, I prefer it at the back because of the slope.Visually, the shower drain at the front does look a bit odd, and anyone who sees it immediately thinks it was done carelessly...
The recess in the wall without finishing strips also looks incomplete, in my opinion. The edges simply look untidy and unfinished.

The rest of the space is open. In our case, the heating is even integrated into the mechanical ventilation system. I didn’t notice any drafts, except when standing right in front of the air outlet.

So far, none of our planners have had concerns about the open-plan design.

Then please give some feedback; maybe we can still paint the door!
You will be finished much earlier anyway Sure, I’d be happy to do that. How about a reminder around mid-September?
Best regards
