Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Am I correct in understanding that you can’t reach the oven when the door is open?

I have to be honest, I really like your comments and your pragmatism here, but I didn’t expect a “design” like that.

Still, nice kitchen.

Thanks for sharing the story.

MyHammer doesn’t work well in Schleswig-Holstein. Too many delays on the edge. However, I would have found people anyway who accept cash on delivery. That would have been better than using Hermes. More relaxed. Although, it turned out to be a perfect fit. That is true as well. The drawers are only missing where the electrician needs access.
Still, Ikea builds good kitchen furniture. Karsten

I really appreciate the installation service from our kitchen showroom... we also paid about 850 euros (I think it’s usually 10% of the kitchen price)... I could have done it with my dad, but it just wasn’t worth it.

Result: At 7:00 AM, two people arrived and had the kitchen installed by midday. This included connecting all electrical appliances and making extra adjustments because the sill height didn’t quite fit.

We have a U-shaped kitchen, roughly the same size as the Nordlys... just one more side.

I wouldn’t have put up with the hassle with Hermes and a three-week installation wait. After one week, I would have hired someone else...

That’s how it is. We found a tall cabinet in the other corner near the cooktop looked unattractive. So it is what it is. But how often do you actually need the oven in daily life? At most once a week. It works fine. Karsten
