Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

I guess you just moved in, right? It doesn’t look like anyone’s living there yet. I really like the modern style, but it definitely needs furnishing. Curtains, rugs, pictures, decorations, and above all warmth in the room are missing. With tiles, plastic windows, and white walls, you have a very neutral, almost clinical atmosphere.
We’ve been living here for a year now. This summer, however, the focus was on the outdoor areas rather than making the living space cozy. But you’re right, a lot is still missing: pictures, rugs, decorations... We brought the dining table from our rental apartment, and it’s completely lost in the large room. We’ll eventually buy a much bigger one. Since the baby is coming soon, my wife wants to try painting a few XXL acrylic pictures in an abstract style for the living room herself. I’m curious to see how that turns out... We don’t like curtains, so the windows will probably stay as they are.

Plants!

The meticulous stacking of the firewood (if that’s not a picture itself?) at least replaces a picture, and the decorative birch log segments could almost be considered "suitable quasi-plants for someone with a plant-killing tendency." In this house, I might even be tempted to snack on chips just for the sake of creating crumbs, even though I’m not usually a sadist—but hysterical clean freaks are simply too amusing.

Plants!
Just the other day, we were looking at plant pots for the terrace and living area.
We weren’t sure about the living area though. Ideally, we want a tall, large pot... but that might be easy for the kids to knock over?
If so, which plants would be suitable for that pot?
Can anyone make recommendations? Preferably with a picture.

In the end, interior design is always a matter of personal taste. For me, it would feel a bit too "dead"... but that will change once there are children around...

For my home office, I bought planters from Lechuza and planted, among other things, a Zamioculcas, also known as a ZZ plant. It fits well in the Lechuza Cubico Color 30.

Aloe vera or snake plants would also work well for your space. Just give them a quick search online.

Zamien plants are virtually indestructible. I have one that is over 10 years old and it practically thrives just on humidity. A great choice for people who don’t have a green thumb.

Today, the scaffolding was finally taken down at our place. However, since the basement is not finished yet, the house unfortunately still looks like it’s caught with its pants down.
That’s quite something different…. I think I had one like that from Playmobil once (-:
Really very nice…. How did you come up with this design?
I’m curious to know.
