This morning was the final inspection and handover of the final invoice. Financial reckoning. The entire house, including temporary construction electricity, construction water, all utility connections, all groundwork, etc., including the kitchen and complete lighting inside and outside, surveying, and authority fees, has cost us 266,990 euros (approximately 280,000 US dollars). Only the invoice from the landscaping contractor is still outstanding. Everything else has been paid.
When I got involved here in winter, almost everyone said the project wouldn’t succeed. But it did. It is possible. At least here, it is. And we have a nice plot, a partial lake view of Kiel Bay, and a beautiful, warm, friendly, small, single-story house. KarstenCongratulations!
