Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

and it continues... today the ceiling was installed, and next Friday the roof frame will be assembled.
The following Monday, the gables will be built and the interior walls in the attic floor.

Wow, you have such nice weather. Here, it’s been gray, rainy, and cold for the past two weeks.

Yes, I’m glad that it’s holding up so well and progressing without any weather-related stops.

For us, the functional value was simply more important. It was always clear that the balcony should be opaque; otherwise, anyone on the street could look straight through the entire house. Now, with the balcony, only our heads are visible (the street is slightly lower).

And honestly, I don’t see the panels from inside, and I don’t stand in front of my house that often—I’m usually inside. So I can live with it quite well.

It’s like a motorcycle: I really enjoy riding the BMW K1300R, but in my opinion, its appearance still has room for improvement. If I could get one, I’d still take it, because when I’m sitting on it, I don’t see it—I just ride it. And it really is great to ride. Other people have to look at it—and I don’t care.

When it comes to the house, I’m not completely indifferent about the appearance, but basically, function comes first for me. For the heat pump (HP), this was simply the most efficient place.

I agree that it doesn't add to the otherwise extremely beautiful house, but I don't think you need to justify yourself for it.

I think it works quite well with the dark windows and the system. It somehow has a modern feel combined with the wood.
