There is usually soil available for free. You just have to pick it up.
We rented an excavator and a two-axle trailer with a driver for half a day, which cost 500€ here. The site was then ready.

Only a few drywall panels remain to be installed on the cathedral ceiling, and then the construction team will have finished their work. Here are the windows with a person (1.75 m) (5 ft 9 in) for scale. On the right is the way to the kitchen:

The beam at the top will remain as it is. Usually, it would be covered, but the site manager asked us how we wanted it since some prefer it exposed. We decided based on the beam itself and chose to leave it visible.

The planting action was also successful. We planted 225 cushions of thyme:
