Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

I believe three-ply panels

It’s here!!!! The chandelier has arrived!!!! And I’m completely blown away:

Beautiful with light:

Modern interior with a hanging LED ring lamp consisting of three circles on the ceiling, open doorway.

Modern indoor scene: Three floating ring lights hanging from a wooden ceiling above the staircase.

Modern LED ring lamp with two circles on a wooden ceiling, viewed from below.

But also without:

Modern pendant light with three continuous rings on a wooden beam ceiling, bright room.

Bright interior with pendant light made of rings, temporary wooden railing on the stairwell.

Interior shot of a renovated house: wooden ceiling, railing, modern round lights.

It transforms the large open space into a sculptural feature. The only thing I’m not 100% happy with is that the upper, smallest ring doesn’t shine downward. That was the lighting designer’s suggestion: the bottom ring only shines down, the top only up, and the middle shines both ways—otherwise, it would have been too bright. But when it’s lit and you look from below, it somehow looks like the top one is broken, and maybe the three concentric rings would have looked better if the top one also shone downward.
But that’s just nitpicking... Overall, I’m totally amazed!

The other installed lights are really just a minor note now...

The ones for the dining table:

Construction room with large windows; two pendant lights wrapped in bubble wrap, workbench and tools.

Renovation room with glass sliding door to the garden; two lights under plastic, tools lying around.

Interior view of a construction site: hanging, wrapped lights, wooden stairs, tools.

They’re still wrapped and now placed back on the gallery to keep them out of the workers’ way.

And the staircase has its spotlights:

Modern white staircase with brown wooden railing and square recessed ceiling lights.

Now the electrician is taking a break until the kitchen island is in place and the mirrors are installed.

The chandelier is truly beautiful!

We have a foundation slab, and I would like to post pictures, but of course, I’m not comfortable sharing the coordinates. Are they automatically removed when uploading, or do I need to delete them on my computer beforehand?

Climbee, looks good!

What is the diameter of the lights for the dining table, and which ones are they?

The dining table lights have a diameter of 70cm (28 inches) and are from the company Braga, called Dune. They are available in different sizes and colors. We have the matte black version with gold leaf on the inside.

You’re definitely investing quite a bit in your lighting… but it looks really great!
