Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Today I wired the heating circuit distributors. I left the actuators in the HCD. It was easier than I expected!

A heating distribution station with valves, thermostat heads, and a pressure gauge inside a cabinet.

The price takes care of the rest. Many young homeowners aren’t exactly stingy, but they dislike paying the cost for two roofs when there are structural alternatives to the straightforward expenses.
In my view, your roof truss design has become more complex than what is strictly necessary for a mansard roof – however, assuming proper engineering expertise, I can basically imagine a truss roof being used here.

I’m just saying there’s poor connection at the walls.
And suddenly, thanks to AdSense:

What are the two temperature sensors in the supply and return lines for?

You are definitely right, this even applies to many parts of the house. It’s basically the “belt and suspenders” approach. However, it is also indisputable that a mansard roof is significantly more expensive than a technically comparable gable roof.

Only partially or rather no. A gable mansard roof has two, instead of one, ridge beams per side and is not considerably more complex or costly, whereas a hipped mansard roof like the one on your house is indeed more expensive (although I would be cautious using the term "technically comparable"). As a truss structure, it is only more complex in the hipped version and with a gable it is likely almost the same price, just different.

You can just take them down again :P Nobody needs heating actuators. Unfortunately, I found that out too late :-(
