Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

I understand now – on a small screen I didn’t see clearly enough, the second “l” in hallt was visually missing and I wasn’t smart enough to figure it out.
It’s worth doing something for the room acoustics in almost any space – reverberation, hard reflections, standing waves (for enjoying music).

Here is our flooring, which will be installed throughout the entire upper floor (except in the bathroom) and in the living-dining area (mostly already installed). Unfortunately, my camera does not capture the colors very well. It is a warm brown.

Empty room with wooden floor, window with blue plastic covering, rolled-up plans and water bottle.

@Yosan The floor looks really great. I have a question: how did you handle the transitions to the other rooms? Did you always use transition strips there, or did you lay the flooring continuously?

We originally planned to lay the flooring continuously, but then we became concerned that something might lift or warp. Also, the hallway was supposed to be laid in a different direction... so in the end, all door areas will have transition strips.
