Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

I can't imagine that. Shutters are considered quite upscale and tend to attract envy rather than sympathy.

Yes, I’m not a big fan of roller blinds for the same reason. Are your shutters in the new build automated? Are they hinged or sliding shutters? Aluminum or wood? Unfortunately, I can’t click on your profile to look for a photo of your new build..

Yes, @Bookstar, show us the shutters.

I’m just much faster doing it by hand
But not when it comes to all the roller shutters at once throughout the whole house, I bet?

All of them are operated from the inside using a crank. It’s quick and convenient. If there had been an (affordable) electric option, we probably would have gone for it. But you can’t have it all.

That's true.
However, I rarely want to lower all the blinds at once. In the evening, for example, you can just lower the ones you pass by. To actually control them all electrically at the same time, they first need to be linked together in some way.
