You are basically the go-to advisor here, I don’t know how many readers might be laughing at that. While I do have a technically consulting profession, here I’m just a private commenter like many others. And by the way (also like several others here) I don’t yet own a house (or even land—I’m definitely not the type for the current offers like vineyard / railway embankment / small plot / remote village / funny knee wall).

Where can we see your property??? In fact, nowhere at all, so you would have been better off asking that question in one of your own threads rather than here in the house pictures section. But if you read my posts carefully, you should basically be able to sketch "my" house from memory by now.
You could start a "how I imagine 11ant’s house" picture thread. I don’t know if anyone would be interested, but it would certainly be amusing.

This is where our exterior cladding is being installed:
The front, the south facade, is already finished; the north facade at the back is just getting started.
I’m in love with our facade design. We had quite a fight over the different thicknesses of the battens; normally, these are done with battens of uniform thickness. But we looked at it differently and simply liked it much better that way. Now that I see it, I’m really glad we stayed firm on that.
Tomorrow the scaffolding will be set up, and I have to sit in the office *cry*. I’m already so excited!

When I’m older and the kids have moved out, I’ll build a new house entirely from wood (or I might build myself a deluxe garden shed before that).
