Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Oh no, nobody needs that.

Oh man, that’s bad. Will this cause a long delay?

I can’t reach the site manager. According to the head of the excavator company, he has contacted the bricklayers and they will rebuild the wall tomorrow. He says he expects to complete the backfilling by Tuesday.

He is quite concerned about how he will manage the backfilling around the two towers with flower boxes.

Recently, I proudly shared photos of the underfloor heating we had just installed. Yesterday, our inspector from the Building Owners’ Protection Association visited the site. The report states, among other things: Planned pipe length in the bathroom: 248 m (813 feet); actual length 182 m (597 feet). In the hallway, planned 77 m (253 feet), actual 61 m (200 feet). There were also several smaller issues with the impact sound insulation, sealing tapes, etc. All of this would have been covered by the screed next week. Therefore, my well-intended advice to all homeowners: definitely spend the extra money on an independent building supervision service—it’s absolutely worth it!

Good luck!

This is not a thread for criticism and complaining ... but in the photos, berny, the installation spacing does look quite uneven. It’s good that someone is keeping an eye on it.

If possible, involve him early (have the scope of work reviewed).
