AxelH., did they build above the basement without backfilling? Hello Loads, yes, that’s how it was done. However, for structural reasons, reinforcing concrete columns were cast in on three sides of the basement level. There is a plan behind the whole process. On two sides of the house, there will still be extensions without basements. That’s why we had to proceed this way.
